Moonlight Blues

This train wont stop for the downer
The frowner on the corner
Searching through the faces
places to lay his jacket down

Wakin' up to a lingering dream
Of a woman it seems
Ruby red lips kiss the top of his head
Just to make sure that the man isn't dead

I don't want to lose my sunshine days
Don't want no rain or clouds of grey
Won't you protect me from what I may lose
And baby just save me from those moonlight blues

That long brick road
Though it's pretty
It won't take me to where I want to go

The town's first snow
Though I feel pity
It won't teach me how to grow

I gotta get out of this city
But sometime I just don't know where I'd...

I don't want to lose my sunshine days
Don't want no rain or clouds of grey
Won't you protect me from what I may lose
And baby just save me from those moonlight blues
